Mission Statement
To work in partnership with the local independent businesses and the community to develop a two way benefit scheme. A scheme that offers businesses a local, cost effective route to market that delivers return on investment by engaging the local community with initiatives that encourage them to love local life and keep local at the heart of their community.
As a local independent business owner I experience first hand the effects the economic climate can have on local businesses. As a local girl too, I'm also very passionate about keeping our high streets thriving - no-one wants to see boarded up windows and 'To Let' signs everywhere - but do we 'really' want to have to drive across town to go shopping, when we could just walk to our local high street?
Supporting your local high street isn't a new idea; in fact everywhere you turn we're being encouraged to shop locally. Through researching the possibility of a Love Local Life card, I created mini, informal focus groups amongst friends and other independent business owners. What became apparent is that for any initiative to work, the local relationship has to work both ways but more importantly the local community has to know 'what their high street has to offer' and they have to feel that they are still getting value for money!
Why Love Local Life?
Our local towns and villages are wonderful vibrant places. By working together as Partners and Supporters we can keep our high streets alive and our community buzzing. It's time remind and rediscover the love of all our diverse and unique local services and keep our town thriving!
What's in it for me?
We've tried to make sure there's something for everyone. If you're an Independent Business you can become a Business Partner. If you're local or shop in and around the areas listed in the town drop down menu at the top of the page, you can become a Local Supporter.
